At 11 years old, I began doing my own hair. I secretly was tired of my mothers hairstyles that I believed were baby-ish and wanted something older. In the kitchen I would formulate hot oil treatments, scalp massage oils, deep conditioners, rinses...you name it. My mother and grandma would laugh that I'd put the whole kitchen on my head because I had did so many DIY recipes! I would spend hours researching herbs, oils and methods that would give me healthy, long, gorgeous hair. Seeing the success I had with my hair, people would always ask what I put in it to grow my hair. I thought that it was about time that I'd share my secrets with the world!
